Trezor Start — Pro Vertical Setup Guide

Trezor Setup Journey

A fresh, professional, colorful, vertical guide to begin at Trezor.io/start.

Every secure journey begins with a quiet, thoughtful step, and setting up your Trezor device is exactly that — a calm introduction to long-term digital safety. This guide walks you through the updated process with a smooth, single-lane layout designed to keep your focus centered and your experience bright, animated, and delightfully clean.

Whether you’re new to crypto or returning with a fresh device, the path begins the same way: visit the official starting portal, connect your hardware, follow the interactive prompts, and create your vault of digital calm. Let’s move through each stage with clarity and confidence.

1. Visit the Official Starting Page

Go to https://trezor.io/start. This guarantees you load the official Suite, correct firmware, and everything your device needs to remain safe and authentic.

2. Install Trezor Suite

Download the desktop application recommended for your system (Windows, macOS, Linux). You can use the browser version if needed, but the desktop Suite offers stronger security and stability.

3. Connect Your Trezor Device

Use the cable from the box. When you connect, your Trezor will illuminate and Trezor Suite will detect the device automatically. If a firmware installation screen appears, accept it — this is normal and essential for safety.

4. Create Your New Wallet

Select Create new wallet. This begins the secure generation of your recovery seed. Only choose “Recover wallet” if you already have a seed phrase you own and fully control.

5. Record Your Recovery Seed (Offline Only)

Your device will display the list of recovery words. These words must be protected physically and never stored digitally. Write them down neatly on paper and keep them in a safe location.

  • No screenshots
  • No typing into phones or computers
  • No sharing with anyone — ever

6. Create a Secure PIN

This PIN protects the physical device. Choose something strong, not predictable, and confirm it when prompted.

7. Optional: Add a Passphrase

A passphrase adds an extra secret layer. It’s advanced but extremely secure. Only use a passphrase if you understand it completely — losing it means losing access to that hidden wallet.

8. Add Accounts & Receive Your First Funds

Inside Suite, add accounts for coins like BTC, ETH, LTC, etc. When receiving crypto, always verify the address on both your computer and your Trezor screen.

9. You’re Ready

Your Trezor is now configured, safe, and fully yours. Each action from here on will use the same secure foundation you created.
